Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has appointed artificial intelligence bot Diella as Minister of Public Procurement. Rama stated, “Diella will help make Albania a country where public procurement is 100% corruption-free.”
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the cabinet that will serve after the general elections on May 11th at the National Assembly meeting of the Socialist Party, of which he is the leader. Rama announced that the artificial intelligence bot “Diella” will serve as Minister of Public Procurement in the cabinet.
DİELLE TO MANAGE ALL PUBLIC PROCUREMENT
Rama stated that Diella, which means “sun” in Albanian, will manage all public procurement, where the government contracts with private companies for various projects. He added, “Diella will help make Albania a country where public procurement is 100% corruption-free.”
It was reported that Diella was developed earlier this year as an artificial intelligence-supported virtual assistant on the ‘e-Albania’ platform to help citizens and businesses access government documents.
